How is the Colombian League played?.
The Apertura Tournament is played in the first half of the season, and the Finalization Tournament is played in the second half, both tournaments are played with 20 teams playing against each other over 19 rounds, plus a city deby game. At the end of these rounds, the top eight teams qualify for the final «Quadrangulars», these are divided into two groups A & B, and the winners of each group advance to the Colombian soccer grand final, which is played in a home-and-away series.
